Review:
This film follows an obsessive fan of the original Human Centipede film; he is played by Laurence R. Harvey. He works at a parking garage as the security guard, but what he does mostly is watch his favorite movie.
He lives with his mother, who is an evil woman who hates Harvey. She blames him for sending her husband to prison, but we learn that he was molesting him. To further show his obsession, Harvey has a centipede in an aquarium that he feeds grasshoppers.
One of the days, a doctor comes over to give Harvey his inhaler for his asthma and we see that he grabs Harvey’s leg and rubs it. We learn that this sick doctor wants to have sex with him.
While at work, Harvey has planned out making his own human centipede. The one he envisions though will have twelve people connected together. To do this, he waits for people to come into his parking garage and knocks them out using his gun and crowbar. He kidnaps a wide variety of people from a pregnant woman, her boyfriend, another couple, two girls coming back from a club and even runs into the sick doctor who is with a friend and a hooker. He even calls the agents of the three stars from the original movie, inviting them to audition to be in a Tarantino film.
Will Harvey realize his dream of making his own human centipede? Will he be able to live out his sick fantasies? Or will these people be able to escape this man and his psychotic break?
This was brought up to me by someone else, the original film is very clean and medical, where the doctor does the surgery and there is little blood. So that one didn’t bother me all that bad, this one is the complete opposite. Harvey has no medical training, nothing is sterile and everything is done very makeshift. This one actually made me cringe.
The acting is what it is. Harvey is a very creepy man who actually has no lines in this film. He does a lot of grunts, laughing, crying and other sounds, but never actually speaks, which makes him that much creepier. He looks weird and he is mentally unstable. With all that, he makes for a great villain on screen.
I would recommend this one only if you can stomach it. It is gory, disgusting, violent, depraved and more. This one is much dirtier and grittier; the things that happen are a lot worse than the original. Don’t expect a masterpiece, but definitely a solid horror film. Be warned though, the story is basic and it is much more about what happens on screen and seeing it. There are a lot of things that I do not want to go into, due to ruining the film, but I want to reiterate that this film is very graphic. This has a rape scene as well as something to do with the pregnant woman’s child as well. You are warned before watching this film.
My Rating: 6 out of 10
