Hello and welcome listeners to Episode 291 of Journey with a Cinephile: A Horror Movie Podcast. In this episode, your tour guide, David Garrett Jr., goes back to bring in another Centennial Club for Episode #20. This sees Featured Reviews of Frewaka (2024) and The Bear’s Wedding (1925). The former did festival rounds and was wide released for 2025. I also found a way to translate this Soviet film so I wanted to check it out. This makes for a folk horror double feature. I also got to see these films for Mini-Reviews: Drop (2025), Howling II: …Your Sister is a Werewolf (1985), Alice (1989) and Grafted (2024). Also, a documentary of Growing Up with I Spit on Your Grave (2019) and a book review of Uncanny Ireland: Otherworldly Tales of the Strange and Sublime.
